- Make sure that the Wood Burner is clean and the ash tray is empty before use (this will ensure there is a good flow of air and you get lots of heat and little smoke)
- Lay a small fire lighter (or paper), some tinder wood and one log to start things off.
- Once you have lit the fire, push the door closed, but do not lock it. Make sure that the metal lever is over to the right hand side and fully pulled out.
- Having the metal lever over to the right hand side, brings air in from beneath the fire, so is good to get things going. As the first starts to take off, close the lock the door completely and start to move the metal lever over to the left hand side (this can be done in stages). Having the metal lever over to the left hand side bring air into the Wood Burner from above the fire.
- Once the fire is at optimum temperature and strength, slide the metal lever inwards whilst over to the left hand side.
- When adding additional logs, use the lever to control the fire, by moving it inwards and outwards (low and high) and left (air from beneath) and right (air from above). Always make sure the door is shut and locked (it gets hot, so use the glove provided).
- Ensure that your tinder wood and logs are as dry as possible (if they are a bit damp, leave them next to the wood burner to dry out)
- Enjoy...
